# Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to your details when you use this website. PG Computer Repair is the controller of that information. To ask anything about it, use the [contact form](/#ticket).

## What I collect

- **What you put in the form:** your name, email address, the type of device and your description of the problem.
- **Technical logs:** the hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to run and protect the site.

The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking. Please don't include passwords or other sensitive information in your message.

## Why I use it

- **To answer your enquiry and quote for a repair.** The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract.
- **To keep the site secure and free of spam.** The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a working, safe website.

I don't sell your information, use it for marketing or make automated decisions about you.

## Who handles it for me

- **Vercel** hosts the website and runs the contact form.
- **Mailgun** sends the form to me as an email.
- **Cloudflare** provides DNS and routes the email.
- **Google** stores the email in my mailbox.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

## How long I keep it

I keep your enquiry for as long as it takes to deal with it and any repair that follows, and for longer only if the law requires it. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by the provider.

## Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it's used, and ask to move it to another provider. Use the [contact form](/#ticket) and I'll reply within one month.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Malta, that's the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner.

## Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date.
